AI Content Tools Tools
Scan text and files for AI-writing signals and hidden metadata - heuristic checks, not proof.
2 free AI Content Tools tools
- AI Text Detector - Check text for patterns commonly associated with AI writing tools. Scores word choice, sentence structure, and formatting signals, plus a style-similarity breakdown. Free, browser-only, not a proof-of-authorship tool.
- Document Metadata Inspector - Inspect the hidden metadata inside a PDF, Word document, or image: creation and editing history, revision signals, and embedded AI-generation tags. Free, browser-only file forensics.
About these tools
AI writing tools are everywhere, and so is the anxiety about being wrongly accused of using one. This category holds two related but distinct tools: the AI Text Detector scans pasted or uploaded text for patterns statistically associated with AI-generated writing, such as word choice, sentence rhythm, and formatting habits. The Document Metadata Inspector goes a different route entirely - it reads the hidden metadata already embedded inside a PDF, Word document, or image file, including editing history, revision counts, and AI-generation tags left behind by tools like Midjourney or Stable Diffusion.
Neither tool produces proof. Independent testing of commercial AI detectors has found false-positive rates ranging from about 5% to as high as 50% in some studies, and both tools here are built on published heuristics rather than a trained classifier. Results are a starting point, not a verdict - false AI accusations in schools and workplaces are a documented, ongoing problem, and treating a score as certain has real consequences for real people.
Both tools run entirely in your browser: pasted text and uploaded files are never sent to a server. Text analysis is capped at 5,000 words per check, and file uploads are capped at 10MB, since this is a metadata reader, not a document processor. This is a newer, smaller category on the site - more AI-content tools are planned.
